Hotels Frome

The George Hotel & Granary

5 Market Pl, Frome BA11 1AF, UK – 01373 462584

Nice place, great customer service however we had to wait ages (1+h) for breakfast. Maybe it was just tgat morning but the people working there were so kind! They have gluten free bread too!!

Visit the George Hotel regularly and always made to feel very welcome. Staff always friendly. Rooms always spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend.

Premier Inn Frome

Commerce Park, Jenson Ave, Frome BA11 2LD, UK – 0871 527 8404

First off I’d like to say that this was an adequate hotel. The downfalls are a combination of poor building design and a lack of air conditioning, especially during this heatwave that we’ve had. The hotel is clean, staff, that are not listening to music on their phones with headphones in, are very polite and attentive. The reason why I cannot give this hotel more than 3 stars is simply because of a lack of decent sleep on both nights, it was colder outside of our room, the corridors have a lack of air, you cannot open the window further than the security latch allows you, which is a fair point but still a stupid one and you best ask for a low room number unless you want to walk forever with your stuff through lengths and lengths of corridors. Go to this hotel during the winter and you’ll be more than happy.

Great rooms (some new!!), comfortable and clean. Great beds!! Free parking on site (for guest only). Very friendly, happy and helpful staff on site. Thank you for a memorable stay!!

Orchardleigh House & Estate

Orchardleigh House, Orchardleigh Park, Frome BA11 2PH, UK – 01373 472550

We got married at the Walled Garden and I cannot recommend it highly enough, everything was so well prepared the whole thing was completely stress free. We had so many people comment on how stunning the venue is, the food was lovely, the staff (particularly our wedding planner, Garry) were patient and professional. We had THE BEST day of our lives, I feel so happy that we chose Orchardleigh. It has everything you need, such a relaxed and pretty setting, and having the cottages right next door made things much easier too. Really cannot rate this place highly enough - thank you very much for making our day so incredible!

We love Orchardleigh Estate, it is situated on the outskirts of Somerset and is the perfect location for a country wedding. We had the privilege of photographing a wedding in the walled garden which is a dream come true for the both of us as it is such a beautiful setting for wedding photographs. Sat in private grounds with easy parking makes this one of our favourite venues in the area. The staff were friendly and very professional and Garry made sure the wedding day ran smoothly, we look forward to returning again soon to photograph another wedding.

I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Frome Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

Masons Arms

Marston Rd, Frome BA11 4DJ, UK – 01373 461400

Sunday lunch here is ok. I've had better and I've had worse. Service was friendly though and we were not kept waiting. I thought that Sean or Shaun, however he spells his name, was very pleasant and enthusiastic. I did particularly like the fact that you get a huge gravy boat, not a poxy splash of gravy like those posh places. Bad point was that there were no dairy free puddings.

Had a fantastic meal at the Masons Arms, the chips are the best I've had in a very long time, will be going back again, the new owners have got it right unlike previous owners, would have given 5 * as they need to have less meals with chips no matter how good & serve new, baked or mash potato or have an option to chips

The Three Swans

16-17 King St, Frome BA11 1BH, UK – 01373 452009

Fantastic pub in the old quarter of Frome. Very friendly locals and stunning interior design, a cross between Salvidor Dali and Spike Milligan. If you're in the area you must drop in - oh yes, the beer was excellent too.

Lovely authentic pub. Great, friendly staff. Just get in some Fevertree tonic and we're all good 😉

The Artisan Pub & Kitchen

6 Christchurch St W, Frome BA11 1EQ, UK – 01373 300102

Food not too good. Tough chicken . The salad was missing half the promised ingredients. Pasta done better myself. Shame as nice place and service good.

Average food and staff not that bothered. Outside area is great and a good selection of draught. Doggo freidnly too which is nice.

Executive Holidays - Oldford Farm Cottages

Oldford Farm,, Lullington Lane, Oldford, Frome BA11 2NF, UK – 01373 452907

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. We hired out a few of the cottages for a friends getaway. Patrick met me at the venue and showed me all the cottages we had and the amenities. This was great so we could get our bearings straight away. The cottages are all very spacious and clean. They are beautifully decorated and very homely. All the cottages have all the cutlery, crockery etc that you need. They even supplied bin bags, tea towels, dish washer tablets etc. There was a hair dryer and an iron in the cupboard. There is an enclosed area for kids to play in and lots of grounds to walk around on. I could not fault this place at all...it was amazing!!

Fantastic location, great facilities, very friendly and helpful owner and staff.

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Old Parsonage House

10 Church St, Beckington, Frome BA11 6TG, UK – 01373 830775

Lovely bed and breakfast in a beautifully renovated house. The village is picturesque. We had a very enjoyable stay!

Fantastic place. Very clean and friendly owners. Breakfast was excellent too. Will visit again.

The Cornerhouse

1 Christchurch St E, Frome BA11 1QA, UK – 01373 472042

We are very impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at The Cornerhouse. The food is excellent, especially the breakfast which is hot, hearty and tasty and really sets you up for the day and the rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. They made mum feel really special on her 80th birthday, giving her flowers and a card and nothing has been too much trouble. We highly recommend this hotel.

It's a really warm, relaxed pub/hotel. My room was comfortable, clean. What really impressed me, though, was the burger I had for supper: exceptional. You get so many yuck burgers in England, but not here. It was just as a burger should be : fresh, meaty, cooked "al gusto" and in a great bun that doesn't get in the way. I'm looking forward to breakfast!

Trinity House & Lodge

Trinity House, Gould's Ground, Frome BA11 3DW, UK – 01373 451547

Allie and Seth have practically designed and built this astonishing place themselves - it's simply stunning! The attention to detail is obvious in every part of the house, the lodge and gardens. The WOW factor in spades. Magnificent and quirky, beautiful and cosy - and all at the same time. Allie and Seth are great hosts too, they make you feel so welcome; leaving lovely treats to greet you and being warm and helpful when needed but giving you your privacy to fully enjoy their home. Will be back again..... and again!

Great place to stay. Very quirky, lots for the kids to explore.

We held our daughters wedding reception here last week. It was fab. Lovely quaint barn at the back of the pub with exposed beams and stone absolutely lovely. Good food and service was first class. Lovely campsite. Staff very friendly and so helpful. Eco friendly site which is fab. Sells cold drinks and ice lollys which is a treat in this hot weather. Kids had a great time exploring the woods and searching for frogs. Will be back soon. Thanks to all who made our stay so enjoyable. Xx

Really lovely field to stay in away from the hustle and bustle. Hammock in the trees and fairy lights in the woods. Easy walk to Nunney Castle and a drink in the George Inn or Moat and Turret cafe if you fancy it. Or into Historic Frome for shops and quaint streets.
